In a Wednesday letter to Trudeau, the coalition accused Canada's National Energy Board of operating under conflicts of interest, and said a "credible review" of the projects cannot happen until the panel is revamped.
The coalition also told the government to put aside work already done to review TransCanada's Energy East pipeline project and Kinder Morgan's Trans Mountain expansion. The NEB is in the process of reviewing the Energy East project, which would carry Alberta crude to eastern refineries, and has already given conditional approval for the Trans Mountain expansion in Alberta and British Columbia.
