Nearly 20 trade groups, including the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) on Tuesday filed to sue the EPA over the rule in the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, just as a similar coalition of 13 states filed its own suit.
The rule aims to curb the effects of climate change by reducing methane emissions at new, modified and reconstructed processes and equipment.
