The company has been hired by Numhyd, a joint venture between Algeria and Tunisia, to drill one firm well, with another optional probe.
The jack-up GSP Jupiter is expected to head to the drill site promptly, the rig owner said.
GSP has previously performed exploration drilling off Tunisia for Numhyd in 2011 and 2012.
