The company posted a net income of $5.5 million, or 37 cents per share, compared to $1.4 million, or 9 cents per share, for the same period a year ago.
However, second-quarter revenues dipped, from $84.3 million last year to $81.5 million this year.
In addition, the company reported a smaller revenue backlog of $157.5 million, compared to $232.4 million in the second quarter of 2015.
