The US fabricator took a $14.5 million impairment "due to the "inability to recover certain costs related to a large deepwater project which was recently delivered."
The company did not name the project. But Upstream previously reported that the yard had already taken $20 million in contract losses on a similarly described project believed to be the topsides of Chevron's Big Foot tension-leg platform.
