Gulfport snaps up AEU Utica acreage

Gulfport Energy has agreed to buy more than 35,000 acres from Aubrey McClendon-backed American Energy – Utica AEU for around $406 million in the Utica Shale play in Ohio and launched a stock offering to pay for the deal.
