The Belfast-based yard will carry out the dry docking and special periodic survey of the mobile offshore drilling unit starting early this year, with several modifications and upgrades planned.
Dolphin Drilling managing director Graeme Murray said the latest contract would build on the work completed last year by the yard on its semi-submersible Blackford Dolphin.
H&W director of ship and offshore unit repair James Lappin said that the project would underpin the yard’s recruitment drive for 60 extra staff as well as create significant opportunities for the supply chain and wider economy.
