An affiliate of US independent Halcon Resources has spilled and recovered about 400 barrels of oil at a site in North Dakota, the US state's top oil regulator said.
The North Dakota Oil & Gas Division said it was notified on Sunday of a contained release at Halcon's Fort Berthold 148-95-22D-15-1H well site, located about 16 miles north of Killdeer.
Halcon subsidiary HRC Operating told the regulator that 400 barrels of oil were "released, contained and recovered" after a valve failed on Saturday.
