Helix reported a loss of $10.7 million from April to June, compared to a loss of $2.6 million a year earlier.
The Houston-based contractor's revenues fell to $107.2 million in the second quarter, from $166 million a year earlier.
Helix's flagship well intervention segment was the biggest drag on the quarterly totals, bringing in about $60 million compared to $85.7 million a year prior.
