New York-based Hess told North Dakota regulators that the company had spilled about 250 barrels of a mixture of produced water and oil at its operated RL Olson 10 well in McKenzie County near the town of Keene.
Of that total, about 220 barrels of liquid have been recovered, the North Dakota Industrial Commission (NDIC) said, and a state inspector was on location today.
