Hurricane Energy believes it has uncovered a separate hydrocarbon-bearing structure with its recent Lincoln find off the UK that is likely to significantly boost the resource estimate for the Greater Lancaster area West of Shetland.
The London-listed explorer has now carried out technical analysis of the Lancaster and Lincoln finds, as well as the undrilled Warwick prospect that is “now believed to be part of a large basement feature comprising Lincoln and Warwick” separated from Lancaster by the Brynhild fault, it said in a statement.
