Hydratight did not state the value of the contract but said it was one of the largest pipeline connector orders in the industry.
The EPRS is part of the contingency planning for multiple pipelines associated with Chevron Australia’s liquefied natural gas assets and Inpex’s Ichthys LNG project off the north-west coast of Australia.
The award follows on from a two-year research, development and testing programme carried out by Hydratight’s UK-based engineering in collaboration with Subsea 7.
