Three fatalities have occurred in the space of just over a week this month at the Ulsan yard, with one worker killed on Tuesday when he was crushed by a forklift truck after another was killed by an excavator on 18 April and a further victim was claimed in a similar incident on 11 April, Korea Times reported.

The deaths coincided with a state visit to South Korea by Norwegian Prime Mnister Erna Solberg, who also visited the yard to inspect construction work on Statoil’s Aasta Hansteen field project around the time the deaths occurred.
