The company’s deep-water construction vessel DCV Aegir laid 140 kilometres of subsea flowlines in water depths up to 275 metres.
The flowlines will carry reservoir fluids from 20 wells on the field in the Browse basin to two floating processing facilities: a central processing facility (CPF) and a floating production, storage and offloading unit.
McDermott is the main contractor for the subsea, umbilicals, risers and flowlines engineering, procurement, construction and installation portion of the Icthys project.
