Icon secured Ensign International Energy Services rig Ensign 960 to drill the Eolus 1 and Windon 1 wells in ATP626P, with the first of these wells expected to spud in early May 2012.
Managing director Raymond James said the company was in unprecedented territory.
“This is the first time in our history that Icon Energy has been involved in such a concentrated exploration program across three tenements in two states, Queensland and Victoria,” he said.
