The trio intend to look initially at jointly developing the Taas-Yuryakh Neftegazodobycha greenfield asset in East Siberia, according to a Rosneft statement.
The Russian state-owned oil giant said the pact, which covers geological survey work, exploration and production, “lays a foundation for a long-term partnership” with the Indian companies.
Rosneft has also signed an MoU for a similar co-operation with India’s state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) that also encompasses offshore, as well as onshore, work.
