The “minor fire incident” at the facility located in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia occurred at about 9am local time on Tuesday.
“Emergency fire services have fully contained the fire. Workers in the facility have been evacuated,” Saudi Aramco said.
Eight workers, however, sustained injuries as a result of the fire, including six contractors and two employees. The injured received medical treatment, according to the company.
