Progress on the giant US$34 billion project off north-west Australia has slipped by about one quarter, Reuters quoted Inpex managing executive officer Masahiro Murayama as saying at a news conference.
"It's delayed by about a quarter. To recover, we have been trying hard, adjusting various schedules and so on."
Ichthys was 74% complete as of June, some 4% or 5% behind target, Murayama said, according to Reuters.
