Anglo-Dutch supermajor Shell has told regulator SKK Migas that is has asked some employees working on the project from bases in the Netherlands, Malaysia and Indonesia to switch to other projects in its worldwide portfolio.
SKK Migas boss Amien Sunaryadi also revealed that Japanese project operator Inpex is to reduce the number of workers on the projects from between 350 and 500 to just 90 to 100.
