Canada’s Pacific Exploration & Production is exiting Papua New Guinea with acreage partner InterOil to pick up its stakes in a pair of licences.
The company formerly known as Pacific Rubiales was known to be shopping its assets in the country, with French supermajor Total and Oil Search rumoured to be interested.
In the end it is InterOil that is picking up Pacific E&P’s 12.9%
