The chief executive of Aberdeen’s new £180 million ($225 million) Oil & Gas Technology Centre (OGTC) hosted a dinner with 40 equity investors on Wednesday to outline plans to stimulate funding for technology research and development by smaller companies. 

OGTC chief executive Colette Cohen gave an introduction on what the centre is calling a “Technology Accelerator”, an initiative to support work by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the UK supply chain to overcome the obstacles they face in commercialising their ideas.
