Australia-listed operator Invictus Energy has struck a deal which could see it supply gas from its Cabora Bassa project in Zimbabwe to local manufacturer Sable Chemical Industries.

Invictus revealed Tuesday it, along with project partner One-Gas Resources, had signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding which could see it supply Sable with up to 26 billion cubic feet of gas per year over 20 years.

Under the terms of the MoU, Sable would take a minimum of 35 million cubic feet per day, or about 13 Bcf per annum, and a maximum of 70 MMcfd, or 26 Bcf per year, from the Cabora Bass project in SG4571.
