The Skipper appraisal well off the UK was drilled to a total vertical depth of 5578 feet in August. Its primary objective was retrieving oil samples in order to optimise the Skipper field development plan.
Oil analysis, however, proved to be “incompatible” with IOG’s initial observations, and the findings now need to be reviewed and tested.
