The Iran Oil & Gas: Post-Sanction summit, set to take place in the UK capital from 22 to 24 February, was put off at the request of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), organiser CWC Group revealed on Monday.
"A new date and location will be announced shortly and we will inform you accordingly," a very brief statement from CWC read.
Iran has said that the British consulate in Tehran did not have sufficient facilities to issue visas for the event, but sources in Iran have indicated that the consulate was only willing to issue visas to members of the Iranian delegation but not to Iranian businessmen.
