GM Deep Sea Mooring will secure Prosafe’s semi-submersible accommodation unit Safe Zephyrus as well as the ultra-harsh environment jack-up Maersk Interceptor on the field off Norway.
The company will supply mooring and pre-lay equipment, offshore personnel, mobilisation and demobilisation services and operational planning for the Prosafe flotel, while also mooring the Maersk Drilling jack-up.
The Ivar Aasen field lies west of the giant Johan Sverdrup oilfield and is estimated to hold 204 million barrels of oil equivalent.
