The Japanese company was awarded the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract by Bahrain National Gas Expansion Company, and is related to the gas pipeline/gas storage tank construction project in Awali.
The contract is expected to be completed in 24 months with commissioning and start up scheduled for October 2018.
JGC earlier this year signed a $355 million contract with the same operator to build a new gas processing plant (CGP-III) in the Bahrain field.
