The block, PSC-I, covers an area of about 360,000 hectares about 125 kilometres north west of Rangoon, stretching between the Irrawaddy Delta sub-basin and the Central Burma basin’s Pyay Embayment sub-basin.
Sitting on the Pyay Embayment sub-basin puts the block in the same place as the Chauk-Lanywa and Yenangyaung fields, and adjacent to the producing Myanaung and Shwepyitha fields, Jubilant said.
