The ASX-listed operator said that the Queiroz Galvao semi-submersible Olinda Star spudded the well on 26 February and that it has reached a depth of 1106 metres so far, with total depth set to be reached during early April.
Karoon Gas Australia said that “due to its large size and proximity to Kangaroo, a successful outcome at Kangaroo West-1 could materially add to any possible development of the Kangaroo oil field”.
