Beach revealed Matthew Kay start working in the role from 2 May after previously announcing he was expected to start work on 17 July.
Beach said Kay would start with the company earlier than expected due to his commitments having altered to allow for an earlier start date.
Kay is currently the executive general manager for strategy and commercial at fellow Australia-listed company Oil Search which he joined in 2014 following 12 years at Woodside Petroleum.
