KBR reported on Friday revenues of $1billion in the second quarter of the year, a drop compared to from $1.3 billion in the same period last year.
Profit in the quarter fell to $47 million compared to $62 million last year.
Profit in the company’s engineering & construction unit was $35 million, down $17 million from the prior year.
“The reduction in profit was due primarily to increased costs during plant start-up of an EPC ammonia project in the US related to equipment failure and to reduced project activity including a major liquefied natural gas project in Australia.
