The KFELS B class jack-up named Uxpanapa was christened this week at the Keppel AmFels yard in Brownsville, Texas, and is the fifth jack-up built by AmFels for Perforadora Central.
The rig is set to be charted by state-run oil company Pemex for work off the coast of Mexico.
Keppel was originally awarded the $240 million contract in 2014 to build the jack-up, which is capable of operating in water depths of up to 400 feet and drilling to depths of 30,000 feet.
