The London-listed Kazakh producer said in a statement it had been levied with additional tax of 18.7 billion tenge, as well as a 9.7 billion tenge penalty for late payment and fine of 10.2 billion tenge after a tax audit for the period between 2009 and 2012.
However, KMG EP has made a tax provision of only 16.7 billion tenge in its first-half accounts to cover any claim related to the audit.
