The Astana-headquartered operator said that natural declines caused its PetroKazakhstan Inc (PKI) project’s production to fall by 8% and at its Kazgermanui project by 3%.
The two projects led an overall drop of 4% in KMG’s venture production to 85,000 bpd.
Core field pair Ozenmunaigaz (OMG) and Embamunaigaz (EMG) produced 1% more than 2013 with output of 164,000 bpd.
The OMG field’s production rose 2% to 107,000 bpd while the EMG project slipped to 57,000 bpd.
