Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) has decided to hang onto its holdings in the Eagle Ford Shale play after Anadarko Petroleum, the state-run company’s partner and operator of the project, sold out last month.
US independent Sanchez Energy, which purchased Anadarko’s position in the Eagle Ford for $2.3 billion earlier this year, said the South Korean company had declined to exercise its tag along right to sell its interests in the joint venture.
