Samsung Heavy Industries is said by sources to be on the verge of winning both of the remaining Sverdrup topsides fabrication awards, to be placed imminently by the Norwegian national oil company.
It is understood that while Hyundai Heavy Industries had fallen behind of late in this prestigious race, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has given Samsung stiff competition right down to the final stretch.
