The deal would have taken Kosmos’ stake in the Tullow Oil operated block to 22.05% and its stake in the Jubilee field from 24.1% to 25.8%.
In an announcement, Kosmos said the decision was made by mutual agreement, and its stake would remain at 18%, while Sabre would hang onto its 4.05% stake.
Other participants in the block are Tullow, with 49.95%,
