KrisEnergy revealed on Monday the Bapex Bijoy 10 rig had started drilling the Bangora-6 well from the Golpanagar site in the northern section of Block 9 to a depth of 3786 metres.
Block 9 covers 1770 square kilometres, roughly 50 kilometres east of Dhaka, and KrisEnergy operates the block with a 30% stake on behalf of partners Niko Exploration (60%) and Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration & Production (10%).
