Union members, who are also protesting plans to privatise part of the oil sector, said they are planning to start the general strike in all sectors on Sunday morning, according to reports.
Adel al-Fadhel, speaking on behalf of the Kuwait oil company workers' union, told Reuters that workers made “a unanimous decision on the strike after failing to reach common ground with Kuwait's oil ministry” in a meeting earlier this week.
