Kvaerner has forged an alliance with US player KBR to target upcoming topsides awards on Johan Sverdrup - with working operator Statoil aiming to dish out engineering, procurement and construction contracts before Christmas - having already picked up work on a pair of platform jackets for the project worth Nkr3 billion ($492 million).
