The latest call-off from the framework agreement struck in April will see Kvaerner prepare for reconstruction and execution of the docking of the semi-submersible facility, which arrived recently at the contractor’s Stord yard for upgrade work.
The call-off, valued at some Nkr350 million ($42.4 million), will see Kvaerner remove the derrick, flare, and lifeboat system and inspection work. Prefabrication of two pontoons to increase hull buoyancy will also take place.
