The contractor finally confirmed on Thursday that it had been handed the engineering, procurement, construction and installation deal, along with partners Ezra Holdings and Chiyoda, for the Hasbah incremental facilities sour gas project off Saudi Arabia.
Aramco had revealed on Wednesdaythat L&T had been handed the offshore portion of the giant Fadhili gas project, but the Indian player had not disclosed the contract to the stock exchange in Mumbai, which sought clarification from the company once news reports of the contract began to emerge.
