Bluewater said that LNG hoses should be flexible so that they can be used in harsh weather conditions, while large bore hoses that are capable to transferring up to 5000 cubic metres of LNG per hour reduce the marine transfer operation and along with it, the overall risk exposure.
The hose, which is the result of a decade of extensive research and development, is the first cryogenic application in which Dyneema® fibre has been used.
