Alekperov reportedly told news agency Interfax that the Moscow-headquartered operator planned to produce around 86 million tonnes, or 1.73 million barrels per day.
Last year Lukoil also produced 86 million tonnes in Russia, with total production up 7% to 97.2 million tonnes.
The operator’s board of directors said in recent days that Lukoil’s priority for 2015 would be “to ensure the steady operation of the company, given the unfavorable macroeconomic conditions, and to preserve the company’s competitive positions within the international and national sectoral markets in terms of operational efficiency”.
