The Moscow-based independent signed the procurement and construction contract for the plant in the Uzbek capital Tashkent on Friday, with Hyundai Engineering tasked with preparing the project feasibility study and detailed design.
The facility will have an annual capacity of 8.1 billion cubic metres of gas and will process sour natural gas from the Kandym group of fields in the south-western Bukhara region.
