The jackets for the ice-resistant second fixed platform have begun transportation from the port of Astrakhan to the field, Lukoil said on Friday.
Jackets, which weigh more than 2500 tonnes each, were fabricated at the Galaktika shipyard in Astrakhan. The topsides are currently being built in the Astrakhan region.
The topsides for the accommodation platform for the second field development stage are also being built in Astrakhan, while jackets for that unit were transported and installed in early July.
