Lukoil reported a profit in the period of 43 billion roubles($651 million), a significant drop from 104 billion roubles in the previous year.
Sales fell almost 20% in the quarter to 1.1 trillion roubles from 1.4 trillion year-on-year. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) fell 32% to 145 billion roubles compared to 214 billionroubles in the first quarter of last year.
