Lund will serve as operating adviser at the firm, having stepped down from his previous role as chief executive of the UK’s BG Group earlier this year following its takeover by Shell.
He was formerly chief executive of Norway’s state-owned Statoil for 10 years before resigning in 2014 to take on the BG top job.
Lund was earlier this year named a director at oilfield services giant Schlumberger and has also launched his own fund, Inkerman Holding, that is partly for charitable purposes.
