The semi-submersible Island Innovator is drilling the 16/1-24 well on production licence 338 C in the Norwegian North Sea.
The well, in a water depth of 135 metres, is expected to take 45 days to reach total depth of 2192 metres in an operation that could be extended to cover drilling of a sidetrack and testing in the event of a discovery.
