Drilling has started on the Selada-1 exploration well which is targeting hydrocarbons in Miocene aged sands, about 14 kilometres to the south of Lundin's Bertam field.
The well is being drilled using the jack-up West Prospero and is expected to take roughly 30 days to reach a total depth of 1700 metres.
Lundin holds a 75% operated interest in Block PM308A, with Malaysian state-run oil company Petronas holding the remaining 25% equity.
