The South Korean trio of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Hyundai Heavy Industries and Samsung Heavy Industries turned in their second round of bids to the UK supermajor in late May, Upstream understands.
Early June also saw submissions from Singaporean players Keppel and Sembcorp, as well as the Chinese construction joint venture between China’s Offshore Oil Engineering Corporation (COOEC) and engineering player Fluor.
